🔐 What Is Secure Print?
Secure print (also called pull printing) is a method that ensures documents are only printed when the authorized user is physically present at the printer. It protects sensitive information from being left unattended in output trays and is especially important in environments like Management, HR, and finance.
Secure Print has been implemented on the Vancouver Main & HR copiers.
Summary of process:
Print a document.
Configure the printer to send to your mailbox
Release the print jobs.
Delete the print jobs.
Prerequisite: Know your User Mailbox #. Go to the copier and find it using the Release print job steps below.
Printing a document to a User Box
- Print your document like you always do.
- Select your Copier as the printer and select Preferences or Properties.
- Navigate to the Basic tab.
- Change the Output Method to Save in User Box.
- Click OK
The User Settings Dialog box will appear.
Enter your Assigned Mailbox number and click OK. (this was either communicated to you or can be found on the copier)
Releasing your Print jobs from your User Mailbox at the copier:
On the Copier Control Panel Select the Home Button
Select User Box button.
Select your assigned User Box # from the list and enter your password {Employee ID}.
Select Open to see the list of documents in your User Box.
Select Select All
Select the Print button on Left side.
Press the Start button on the control panel to begin printing.
** After releasing your print jobs, you MUST Delete the print jobs
Select Select All
Select the Delete button on Left side.
